Daniel D. Cave Named Chief Operating Officer of Cardium
Health Services Corporation
Farmington, CT ( October 2003) – Cardium Health, a Connecticut-based
disease management company and one of the leading providers of disease management programs
to Fortune 1,000 companies, today announced the appointment of Daniel D. Cave as the company’s
Chief Operating Officer. Cave is responsible for overseeing Cardium’s day-to-day
operational activities and continued coordination and development of company-wide standards
and platforms to support Cardium’s strategic long term growth.
Cave joins Cardium Health from CIGNA HealthCare, where he served as Vice President of
Operations for CIGNA Pharmacy Management. In this role, Cave was responsible for the overall
management of business operations and directly accountable for all service center functionality.
Prior to his work at CIGNA, Cave served as President of Prudential HealthCare’s
Specialty Products Division, where he was responsible for six specialty managed care business
units including: Prudential’s pharmacy, workers compensation, long term care, behavioral
health management, utilization management, and disease management businesses.
