leadership team at Cardium Health has years of combined and individual experience in
healthcare as well as demonstrated expertise in managing high-growth companies, and developing
new products, technologies and programs. Our company believes in leadership by example

Daniel D. Cave – President and Chief Executive Officer
Dan Cave has more than 25 years experience in key leadership roles in the disease management,
service, and device segments of the health care industry. His knowledge and expertise,
particularly in delivering health care cost reduction strategies for employers with
proven clinical and financial outcomes, has earned Cardium Health recognition as
a leading disease management company in the self-insured employer market.
Prior to joining Cardium Health, Mr. Cave was Chief Operating Officer of CIGNA Pharmacy
Management, including pharmaceutical manufacturer management, retail pharmacy network,
customer and provider services, claim and account installation, and national operational
leadership for field-based clinical staff. He also served as President, Specialty Health,
for Prudential HealthCare and was responsible for a national staff of 1,200 clinical
and non-clinical professionals. Additionally, Mr. Cave also held a variety of positions
during an 11-year tenure at Travelers Insurance Company.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Cave was Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of Cardiovascular
Outcome Management, Inc., a venture-capital backed disease management company focusing
on congestive heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and coronary artery disease
for managed care organizations.
 
James R. Nestor, Ph.D. – Co-founder
and Chief Scientific Officer
Jim Nestor is an expert in the field of medical outcome studies and the economic principles
of secondary prevention measures for coronary artery disease (CAD). From 1993 to
1996, he served as the principal scientific advisor for clinical investigation, economic
analysis, and outcome studies for Raytel Cardiac Services, Inc. Dr. Nestor has led
efforts resulting in published reports on topics of non-invasive cardiology, pacemaker
follow-up, trans-telephonic cardiac rehabilitation, and cardiac event monitoring.
He has recently completed a timely report on cost-effectiveness of post-cardiac rehabilitation
and its relationship to secondary prevention strategy.
Dr. Nestor is responsible for the development of Cardium Health’s proprietary
software technology
DM TrackSM. Prior to 1993, he served as Director of Research and
Development for the Critical Care Division of C.R. Bard, where he had responsibility
for an organization charged with the development of disposable cardiovascular products.
David M.
Audibert, CPA – Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Dave Audibert has more than 10 years experience in the healthcare industry and with
venture capital supported companies. Previously, he founded, grew and sold Clinical
Disability Management, a clinical case management company that used proprietary
software to manage and track employee absences.
Mr. Audibert also served as CFO of Wilson Enterprises. This healthcare conglomerate
owned companies providing medical supplies, outpatient cardiac monitoring, radiology,
oxygen, and physical speech and occupational therapy services. The organization grew
at an annual rate exceeding 300% in some years prior to its sale.
Additionally, Mr. Audibert has held progressive management roles at Coopers & Lybrand
and Medco Containment Services.
Bryan J. Mullen - Chief Information Officer
Bryan Mullen brings a considerable managerial and technology leadership background,
which includes extensive experience in the insurance and healthcare sectors. He started
his career in the Data Systems Division of IBM and subsequently held supervisory
and management positions related to information systems within the insurance industry.
While employed within the insurance industry, Mr. Mullen’s responsibilities
included managing the research and development division of Programming Resources Company
(PRC) based in Hartford, Connecticut. PRC was responsible for bringing the Gen-A-Rate
commercial policy processing system to market.
In 1994, Mr. Mullen was recruited by the Northeast Region of the American Red Cross
to fill a strategic director level roll within the Information Technology hierarchy.
Based on his ability to improve operations, reach regulatory compliance, and reduce
costs, his responsibilities quickly grew to encompass the Mid-Atlantic region as well.
Mr. Mullen left the Red Cross to launch a consultancy where he has enjoyed the reputation
of being able to dramatically improving the quality and value of information technology
delivered to organizations in the Northeast. Mr. Mullen has been responsible for corporate
process reengineering with responsibilities spanning over 40 clients.
